MEET COACH CODY HOOD, U10 Jaguar FC BOYS
Each day, Coach Hood works hard to teach the U10 Jaguar FC Boys team the proper techniques to become the best soccer players they can be.
“My hope is that each kid will fall in love with the game of soccer and continue to develop over each season I work with them,” he said. “The majority of the kids on the U10 team have been playing together since they were 6 or 7, so it is amazing to see how they have developed over a few years. We have also added new faces over the years and always love welcoming newcomers to the team!” In Fall 2021, Coach Hood led the team to win the annual Kansas City Tournament – one of his proudest accomplishments to date.“ I enjoy seeing the joy in the eyes of kids who have learned a new skill or move, scored their first goal, or won their first trophy,” he said. “But I always strive to train them to give their absolute best no matter the outcome.” |
Coach Hood has loved soccer all his life. He began playing at the age of 3 and moved into competitive soccer at the age of 8. He played in high school and earned a full-ride scholarship to play college soccer. To this day, most of his free time is spent in the sports world – either coaching, playing in adult leagues, watching his kids play, and at home there’s always a game on TV. Coach Hood is a proud father of four – two boys and two girls. Both of his sons have followed in his footsteps to become soccer players and, in fact, his son Tucker plays on the U10 Jaguar Academy FC team!
“My kids are my greatest joy and it just makes being a Dad that much sweeter to have a couple of boys who love soccer the way I do.”

“I have been around this game for 30+ years and I am grateful to have an organization like Jaguar Academy that allows me to be a small part of helping to teach kids how to play.”
